Just having some questions across my mind..
during a conversation with my gers we were discussing abt religion (faith) etc..
and there is the questions to us pop out..
1. What do guys think abt your future wife 'following' you in ur faith after married ?
2. Do guys feel the girl do not have her own 'standing ground' or etc ?
For the gals:
1. Are you willing to put your hubby surname infront of yours like what the gals in taiwan did ? Meaning to say to intro ur name to other by using ur hubby surname infront of yours.. e.g : Lim Chen Ling Zi
2. Do you gals have those why shld i thinking ? Are u comfortable with the thinking ? -
I'm a hopeless romantic when I fall in love deep-deep.
So, yeah, when married, I will adopt his surname in front of mine. Jia mao shui mao mah!
Actually, it's for legal reasons too. To have your maiden surname still intact means that when you apply for licences or jobs and what-not, and the certificates you hold are all in your maiden name, it'll be easier to 'prove' that it's your name on the certificates. Well, in a way.
Hmm... actually, there's something very romantic about getting married, and putting your husband's name in front of yours, hor?

faith is personal.. even if in name, what is faith on paper when it's not from the heart? so if it's religion you mean, it's ALWAYS personal

both of their surnames are Cheung.. for one period of time, I tot they were brothers.

i am prepared to convert faith for my future hubby coz i do not want to have a diff faith with him.
that's y i am a freethinker waiting for the right man to give me his surname n faith. but forget to add i will adopt the faith if its want i wanted of coz.. if nt i will continue to be freethinker
of coz i am not into fairytales romance but more on i am
a modern lady in a half tradition world.
Tradition as : i love jap culture in pampering my future hubby and the virtue of jap wife.. That's my way of pampering my better half -

well, that part, is dependent more on how much one would conduct themselves.. and their own personal ethics which they bring to their name...

me prefer to just using my own surname, no matter how deeply, madly in love i can be... i ever tried using his surname....make me so luan....so i revert back to just my surname....
funny thing is some ppl have the tot that once married all women will use hubby's surname....so some address me Mrs (with my surname) and address my hubby with my surname.... and i had to keep telling him no that's not his surname.....
and for religion....same goes...so the other person must be able to accept that we don't hv to share bank account, religion or surname to be happily married ever after ... -

I wouldn't take on my husband's surname. Even though I am now part of his family, I am not any less my father's daughter. Thus I don't see the point in changing my surname.
As for putting his surname in front of mine... once again I don't see the point of it. And worse - it sounds awful
It's interesting and quite new to me that some of you think it's romantic to take on/add on the husband's surname. I've never had anyone tell me it's romantic before.
