Got an even better one. I've got an Indian friend whose name is pretty long, so in typical style, it's abbreviated when his clients write cheques to him. So he's gone to POSB to ask them to accept cheques to his account written in the abbreviation. Not only did the girl at the counter refuse to do that, she asked him to [b]change the name on his IC to match the name on the cheques!
