i see... tk u, ol' wise one in the ways of beer...Originally posted by the Bear:draught beer = beer drawn out from a keg
cold-filtered = beer is chilled to a low temperature and the stuff inside like impurities tend to stick together and is easily filtered out resulting in a fresher brew.. but if not done right, the taste of the beer is lost too...

OMG!Originally posted by the Bear:here's a few stories floating around about THAT slice of LIME (not lemon.. actually, the mexicans use their local lime called a limon dulce) in a corona
none of them very good
the slice of lime is to prevent the flies from getting to the beer
notice most beers are served in coloured bottles? light spoils beer... and coronas are usually spoilt when served but with the lime, it masks the taste of the spoilt beer taste and smell... it is said that most beer bottled in clear bottles are loaded with preservatives
the bottle tops have no liners and there is rust on the bottle top and the lime is used to clean it up
uhh.. makes not wanna drink the stuff huh?
i think i'll stick to Guinness Draught
gosh issit stories or facts??!!Originally posted by the Bear:uhh.. makes not wanna drink the stuff huh?
