NTUC isn't all that cheap and their stuff aren't that fresh. I found worms in their veggie once and didn't buy veggie from them since.
I did not take out one item because I need to buy it anyway so easier to call hubby to come down to pay for everything. Anyway, the point is it is embarressing enough and such a huge supermarket chain should accept credit cards. You can always implement a minimum amount spent like other supermarkets. Talk about convinence for the heartlanders -

someone told me her relative went to a supermarket (cant remember whether was it in NZ or here) and bought some blue cheese (?) and didnt notice the mould on the cheese. when she went back, she noticed the mould and went back to the store and complained to the manager abt it
the manager then told her "ma,am this is fermented cheese hence there will be mould"
that moment must have been priceless -
