That's so sad! Because you know what... I was very very happy to get the Fun Pack and so appreciative of the people who had to put all the work into packing them! I'm sure there are many others who felt the same way, especially the kids who dug into their Fun Packs ardently and had so much fun with the goodies inside, the families who picnicked with the food and drinks inside as they watched the parade... If only they were all able to see how much joy it brought to the kids, the ah ma's, and the rest of us who braved the rain and inconvenience of the massive crowd to be there, they wouldn't have had the heart to do what they did.
I know the govt probably made use of you guys as 'cheap labour', but the people receiving the Fun Packs had no part in that. In fact, I'm sure we would all have wanted you guys to be fairly treated for the work you've put in.
Reminds me of those Chicken Soup-style kinda stories that say that no matter what you do, no matter how miniscule or simple it may be, do it with pride! You never know how it might benefit the people on the other end of the spectrum!

those poor army folks, have to sleep in the COLD....some have to prowl around....some just glad that the dawn is breaking.......
I understand those army folks that are involved in NDP and not getting appreciated or recognised for their effort. Some folks sitting on the stands, just know how to complains.....

Jurong Camp also a designated place for packing the funpack.....
just went back last week and saw piles of boxed in one of the buildings, an abandoned vehicle repair workshop -
btw...it is NDP Preview for yday's show...
i think the plastic thingy u got is the raincoat? in case of rain. u can use it to protect urself from the fireworks ashes if u like. i got burnt b4 by the ashes...a little only. -
Rhonda, that transport plane and 2 fighter jets you mentioned, that's the Aircraft refueller KC-135 with the 2 F-5 Tigers...
The Transport Plane Charlie-130 is in the middle of the flypast sequence bef that, the right of the Cargo plane with the Circle thingy is the E-2C Early Warning radar aircraft, left is the Maritime Patrol Aircraft Fokker-50... -
Yesterday I was the Swissotel seeing everything...
The worst was the tanks, travel so fast from Nicoll Highway to SRC... So noisy and produced so much exhaust... Never hear tank noise for yrs liao
My little daughter was crying during the entire flypast, the fighter jets, heli, logistics aircraft flew close to abv us -

Need to ask, I was at Swissotel, why was there 2x 5 CH-47D flying past Chinatown bef the flypast??? Was it 4 for the flag, 6 for the Display???
Managed to see 2x KC-135 and 4 F-5 flying around as well
The E2, C-130 and Fokker50 comb is the best -
People were screaming their lungs out when the Fireworks Display came out.
