  Yup...certainly did. Gave up my senior job to do a PhD instead...I am not into unusual purchases yet though. Maybe after that, I will settle down and have a family...

  I am in my 30s and married. My advice to you gals and guys is: don't get attached too soon and esp don't get married too soon. I think I still prefer my single, carefree, swinging lifestyle.

  Good advice. Also, married ppl better not have kids until they have the means (both financial and time) to support them, educate them into responsible adults. But this kind of thinking is not common with all. I've come across parents (and a colleague) who don't seem to have much savings, just live day by day. Sorry, gone OT.
