Reading the Agony Aunt forum, is it just me or does anyone feel that most of the post are quite self-indulgent? I mean, these guys (seems to be usually the guys) are only in their 20s, and they get rejected by a gal whom they hardly know and it makes them wanna die and never want to be in love anymore. I can understand if they feel very hurt after a break-up, provided they were indeed in a real deep relationship. But looking at some of the common cases, I just feel they are so childish.
I mean, there are much bigger problems in the world. Maybe I am really old, and so out of touch with the 20s.

there is bigger problems in this world but most of it I can't do a thing about it, so why should I care about something I have no chance of changing.
I may seem childish to u, but I am just expressing my feeling, I felt dejected in love n want to be left alone, that's my opinion. -
I can kinda understand what they are going thru...because I used to be in that stage too...well, I am still in my early 20s now...so maybe I will be in it again in the future(tho I hope not)
But I guess everyone does need a venting place every now and then, they said they dun believe in love now cos they are still hurting but I believe after some time has passed, they will fall in love again

heck.. live life.. and if your heart gets broken, pick up the pieces and glue them back together.. and keep a lookout again, remembering the mistakes made...

It's the initial hurt and grief talking lah... most people usually feel better after awhile. Regardless of age, we don't lose the ability to feel, or be less vulnerable. Love gone bad hurts, no matter how old you are or what situation you're in.

I've no doubt they will fall in love again, coz that's what many crave for in their 20s. When they are married, then they wish to be free again...maybe I'm speaking for myself. Hahaha... ya, agree.....its normal lah for the hurt and pain from rejection mah.....even if its not love...other things that we hope very much to hv and could hv we would also hv heartache...more heartache when its L O V E ! -

anyway, it was only for a short while mah....he has move on liao....so ppl move on....
let me tell this story :
one senior monk help a lady by carrying her across the river. he let the lady down and carry on his walk...the junior monk who was with him later cannot control anymore ask him y he break rules by hvg close contact with a female...the senior monk say i already left the whole thing behind but u are still clinging on to the matter....(something like that lah ) -
