shinta, if it's dust that has accummulated in the spaces between the keys, you can use either vacuum or get a can of compressed air.
If it's yucky gunk like spilled coffee or dropped food (yucks!), remove the keys gently, and wipe with a damp cloth or use one of those wet tissues for household cleaning, or just a damp paper towel (although the lousier grades will disintegrate).
If it's not THAT dirty but you wanna clean between the keys, I use cotton buds that I dip in spirit, or just water, and drag the cotton buds between the keys.
Sometimes, I ka-pok a few satchets of spirit swabs from work
and wipe over the tops of the keys if the PC's off.
If I have to use a PC at work for public use and the keyboard looks grimy and greasy and resembles a playground and red-light district breeding area for germs and what-not, I'll put on disposable gloves, grab a Mediwipe and swipe quickly over the keyboard first.

Handy for night owls like me who love to work in the dark or under dim lighting!!
I tried to look for a photo of the latest in keyboard technology - I think in Russia or one of these countries, they've developed a keyboard where each key is like a tiny screen and you can actually change the design of each key and what-not! Isn't that uber-kewl?!!!

clean until so xin ku... but.. it's still not very clean
can still see dust accummulating?
think it's got sth to do with the jacket i wear.. cos they look like fabric....

my joints start hurting after 30 min of non stop typin?
the joint at my right middle finger, at the knuckles, the side at my palm.. is swollen already... been typin codes all afternoon...
now skippin the middle finger, using my ring finger n index finger to type... a bit not used to it -

oh ya to add on to my previous post... it takes quite a lot of strength to hit my keys compared to the logitech keyboard at home...
the keyboard i'm usin comes with dell the black one.... -

the present keyboard isn that good for my wrist either.. i need to place the keyboard close to the edge of my desk to ease the discomfort.... and.. those keyboard rest no use de -
get a curved ergonomic keyboard...
i used to use one.. but now using notebook..
i'll see about one when the notebook dies and i switch over to Apple

the pain comes from my finger joints.. not really my shoulders....
