Do you like your books in hard copy, meaning in print, or do you prefer to read books online?
Asked a few people, even in sgforums, some of them read books online version... -
online .. everything in one computer easier to manage ..

i don't own an e-book coz it's still too expensive... actually, if they sell a good one, i might buy it...
in the meantime, my room's full of paper books

Software combatibility... as in the reader part. I know there are books in various formats. Handy no doubt but suay suay no batt jia lat. If you are someone who uses PDA most of the time for work, you dun wish to waste batt on ebooks and can't use ity when u need it most.Originally posted by Wanda:PDA? -

stil for me, books are faster to read, and u can do it in any position u want, any place....
but i saw on discovery they gonna come out with this film like thing, once attached to an electrical source, one could read pages of stuff, and the screen moves like those u see on cnbc share prices... -
I read both..
For me, I just download e-books for free via p2p networks. But for serious reading and to get a 'feel' of the story, I read hardcopy...because staring at my pc screen for long periods of time will make me look like a nerd with no social life -
i always get free books online.. lmao.. but overall i prefer hardcopies..

I definitely prefer hardcopies! I've never even bothered to attempt reading an e-book. Somehow, the 'feeling' and enjoyment of the book would be lost. Gimme a good ol' paperback anytime!

loads and loads of good books .... won't get the latest ones of course ... because of copyright issues most of the authors are dead ones ...
.... but if you are looking for a classic or a some hard to find edition, you can probably find it here ! ... -

It's pretty obvious, isn't it? Let's face it, when you mention "my library", this:
is a helluva lot more impressive than:
I get the news on my PDA, but I gave up on e-books because there's just not enough space on the screen. Besides, I like the feel of the good old-fashioned book.
Then again, I like automatic watches, fountain pens and cars without ABS. I'm just old-school.
