Last night, I tried Choya for the first time and now, I'm hooked!! At first, I thought it was too darn strong, so I mixed it into my non-sugar green tea with plum juice and it was ooooh-la-la!! Then, I took a sip again and whoooaaa... goooood!!!
The whole day today, I've been stealing sips of Choya now and then!

It's a Plum Wine with UME fruit (some premium plum). It's a ladies' wine and I LOVE IT!!

Indeed. When I first moved here to begin my postgrad studies, I was amazed at how readily total strangers walking down the street would throw a "Good Morning" or "Good Afternoon" in my direction. It probably helped that the university was located in a relatively small and friendly midwestern city, but I was amazed nonetheless. Well, I thought they were marketing it as a ladies' wine because of their ads. Of course, men are free to drink it too, but I guess what they meant was that ladies might find it more appealing because it's a plum wine.
Oh drats!! Must ask Gedanken if they have Choya over in Melbourne! Otherwise, without Choya, AND without Ben & Jerry's... man, what kinda place is that?!! -

I remember how I loved to change the routes I took when walking to the bus pick-up point in the Johns Hopkins campus and on one such 'adventure', I chanced across a lovely terrace house with an absolutely lovely rose garden!!
So, one evening, on my way back, I saw the owner, an elderly man, working in his garden, so I stopped, did a turn, walked back to him and said, 'Hello!! I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy looking at your roses every morning on my way to work! They have brought me such joy!!' and that beam in his eyes... I still remember it. -

When I was visiting S'pore a few years back, I boarded an SBS bus and casually said "Good Morning" to the driver. He looked at me as if I had insulted him, and the passengers sitting just behind him gave me curious glances.

OK, if I'm suddenly quiet, it's because I'm learning how to sing the Mandarin version of that National Day song, 'Uniquely You'!
The Mandarin version has lyrics that are so much smoother than the English version! As always, there's a poetic beauty in Mandarin songs.
