the band plays 3 or 4 sets till 1.30am if I'm not mistaken. Tonight there'll be 2 bands playing. One of which is the acoustic trio which I've mentioned. The other will be a local duo/trio which plays acoustic jazz, soul, r&b, hip hop. You'd probably heard of them: Trisno & Munir? I think they're still playing there tonight.

Not tat I've not been in one but is there anything I'm not suppose to do in a bar/pub?? Like sitting at the corner by myself and just to drink away is "branded" a loser (Heard this from a colleague who's a regular)??
And one is suppose to mix around in the bar?? Mix around... hmm.... itz so not me. But If the crowd is friendly... I probably will... but you guys know.... the culture here, when one tries to get himself acquinted, some will just give you "the eye". -

ok, here's my review of the 2 pubs I went to on Friday with modgurl and her friend... watz his name.... aye, forget it.
China One (Clarke Quay):
Pretty good Live Band
A couple of Pool Tables
Moderately Crowded
Too few seats for a big place
Plenty of babes
Other comments - Although itz free-sitting you really need to book a seat, or go there early just to grab a seat, cos by 10pm or so, there won't be any left. The music is very loud, so you'll have to yell it out loud just to talk to someone beside you normally. I have to say this but, the people there are pretty fake.
Blue Bar Bristo (Central Mall):
Very good 3 men band with amazing vocals
Nice Atmosphere
1 large bar table in the middle, served by gorgerous barmaids
Plenty of seats
Lesser moderately crowded
Other comments - Itz DE perfect place, so far, to relax. To take your mind off horrible thoughts and to de-stress. The band have amazing vocals. How amazing you asked?? Well, if Taufake was to sing beside them, he's just a pee-squeak. No offence to Taufake fans, but you'll have to listen to it for yourself.
Think I'll frequent Blue Bar more. It has a more relaxing atmosphere and friendly looking barmaids, got to know one of their names by the way, not much to brag about.... heh heh
. So any kakis wanna go there every friday, just PM me and I'll give u my hp number to contact.
I've also learnt something, itz no fun going to the pub/bar alone. I've experienced this on friday while waiting for modgurl... and yes obvious she's late.... ha ha !! She was driving and was waiting for a good spot to park. Anyway, while I was waiting for her, I just stand there in China One, listening to the band... maybe itz just me but, I can picture myself how I looked like a complete loser standing alone there.... ... ha ha!!

Ya ya... I know I was very late but I did tell you that I knocked off from work at 11pm. We should not rule out China One just yet. Maybe it's better on other days. By the way, which barmaid did you get to know ah? Was it right after I left? hehe -
Other days?? China One?? Hmmm.... don't think I can make it, need my beauty sleep. Anyway I got to know the barmaid after you guys left.
