i have a feeling they boil the boxes and cartons of the medication to make the simulated food they serve their patients in the hospital.. well, it tastes like cardboard and recycled plastic -

I doubt candling is as effective as ear douching
But nothing beats digging in terms of shiokness
The bad part is, if the digger's clumsy, you'd be left deafer than you started off -

Hmmm...that gives me an idea. Do you think I can try it on my MIL's cat, as a non-intrusive method? She's got lots of black gunk inside her ears, and so sensitive to Q-tips.

Hahaha...no lah, actually I sayang the cat a lot. Knocking the cat out is very costly, and shd only be used for major operation, coz sometimes small animals cannot wake up from anesthesia. Go to the vet to get the eardrops for it. Or, you can save some money like I did, and buy that at any pet shop. That'll help get rid of the ear mites although your cat won't like you much afterwards.
You can also dampen a piece of cotton with Johnson's baby oil and clean the outside of its inner ear, gently but firmly.
Good luck with not getting scratched in the process! -
Oh, yes, thanks. I kind of suspected that the cat's last bout of ear mites wasn't completely cured, and it has returned. I've been observing her scratching behaviour, to see if we shd apply the unfortunate treatment. the food is not all bland... sometimes it's becos when 1 is unwell, esp if they r under lots of antibiotic treatment, somehow tastebuds r being musk and thus anything tastes tasteless and unappetizing.. once a person gets well, the taste buds recover, food will also taste better......
