the only type i like is the traditional teochew type Mui Lee makes...
deep inside commonwealth.. block 51, chin swee road, #01-89...
be warned.. they use a lot of lard.. and it's really sweet and oily.. but sinfully delicious
p.s. i think $10 or $11 per mooncake... -
This old confectionary in the squat two-storey blocks beside the Alexandra Village hawker centre sells awesome mooncakes and the cute 'piggy' shaped cookies made out of mooncake crust, housed in colourful plastic nets. There's always a long queue for their mooncakes.

Eh, that hawker centre is flanked in front by the main road, on one side and the back by auto mechanic shops, and there's only one block facing the hawker ctr that has an old confectionary / bakery... that's the one. One is Love confectionary err looks a bit run down leh.
The other is the branch of Da Zhong Guo Yue Bing in CHinatown. Supposed to be super famous one. -

chinatown got the da tong yue bing also nice..... i like the red bean paste one.... and they dun come in a box but rolled up in paper....

I notice that almost all hotels have durian snowskin mooncake. It's not unique anymore.
