Buffets are convenient, but... nice one not "cheap " , and cheap one seldom nice There's always someone for whom the price is out of budget... what price range would be reasonable? *thinks

what about a cheapo sweaty steamboat type?
there are many from the infamous Seoul Garden to the even more infamous Marina South and Sunset Way ones
i think let our cult leader make her decision... (as long as it's not "drink the Kool-Aid" ) -
Not so expensive buffet --> Sakura restaurant at TP, $21 to $22 per pax nett.
Food variety - sashimi salmon, tuna, swordfish, octopus, etc; sushi, fresh oysters, scallops, prawns, appetisers, teppanyaki/bbq (including satay, salmon, chops, etc.), tempura, hot buffet dishes, selection of desserts, ice-cream, and teas, coffees, etc.
Not the best quality, but it's more than enough for one to eat and quite good value. -

Sorry, TP = Toa Payoh Sakura is also at Tampines (I think) and elsewhere, but I suggested TP bec it's more central.
Soul Garden will cost about $25 or slightly more including the ++.
If don't mind paying more, eh...Merchant Court has a nice buffet ($25-$30) with its very popular durian mousse. Bookings are a must though as it's very popular.
