  and I kept keeping pop ups + kept getting error on browser have to close and re-open

  Do you have Ad-Aware and/or Spybot Search & Destroy installed on your system? If not, try downloading and installing them. They're both freeware and do a good job of detecting and eliminating adware and spyware from your PC.
