So, you're out of the r/s already? Good then. I've always believe that marriage life should at least be as happy and peaceful as your life before marriage, if not better (in spite of all the family obligations that comes with marriage). It shd not cause you more stress, unhappiness and restrict your freedom and will as a person.Originally posted by mistyblue:Seriously. At this point. I am happy to remain single.
no ... but i don't have any intention to get married ... so I don't know what to make of the whole situaiton... I just stop thinking about things... cause it gives me headaches and stresses me out. I remain an escapist... in my own world...Originally posted by shinta:
so u're single now?
Thanks... i didn't really believe in all that happily ever after ... yeah, at least I don't expect to revert back to cinderella in her rags with companion insects and rodents.Originally posted by zozo:So, you're out of the r/s already? You say you're an escapist, but I recall someone commenting that you'll be a good mod for AA.Originally posted by mistyblue:Thanks... i didn't really believe in all that happily ever after ... yeah, at least I don't expect to revert back to cinderella in her rags with companion insects and rodents.
I just didn't want to think and somewhat contented to remain as I am.

wahOriginally posted by choco B:Hmm. Have you ever thought that you might be better off alone?
it is not wrong for someone to chose to be alone. i have a couple of friends who are just as happy living their life by themselves, even when they are already in their 40s at this moment.Originally posted by choco B:Hmm. Have you ever thought that you might be better off alone?
Ah ... AA is part time and I don't deal with every thing or every situation as I don't have that experience. Many times I wonder if I am doing more harm ... cause I would never understand fully besides there might be backlash (this I know first hand many times) ... I'll leave mod-ding to other people.Originally posted by zozo:You say you're an escapist, but I recall someone commenting that you'll be a good mod for AA.
Well, most ppl don't expect happy ever after, but things with your future family-in-law aren't very pleasant, and it seems like you can't expect your future husband to protect you or stand up for you - this alone, is enough to make me wash my hands off him, if I were you. The principle is: he must be there for you.
I recall something which I read somewhere. A priest told a married couple: after marriage, you and your spouse come first. Your parents come second, and so on.
its ok... I've been alone for a long time.. My sis is also in her 40s and alone.Originally posted by shinta:wah

One definitely can live alone and lead a happy and fulfilling life. Before I got married, I was living alone in a 3-room flat. I have a circle of friends and enjoyed the freedom tremendously. Well, at that age, we do hope to be able to find a partner, but my well-being was never dependent on that. Meeting someone and getting married is nice, but I do miss those carefree days when I lived alone.Originally posted by mistyblue:its ok... I've been alone for a long time.. I am considering it as well...Its another option.
some 5 room flats have just 3 bedrooms.Originally posted by stellazio:Got 5 room flat la..But hor the last room is damn small so normally used as store room de..
my 5 room is only 110 sq meters.Originally posted by elindra:We looked at some 5-room flats and executive flats in Tampines and they are huge. Huge halls and everything but we gave that up when we thought about the cleaning.
Then again there is just 2 of us. Even right now I think our 4-room flat is too big.
Well, it is good if there are in-laws can do the housework but both of us prefer the privacy so we decided to live on our own, plus our parents are living far far away from us.
Your 5 Room is around the same size as my 4 RoomOriginally posted by Deportivo:my 5 room is only 110 sq meters.
what to do? new flats are always this size. unless you want to buy a 5-room EA.Originally posted by elindra:Your 5 Room is around the same size as my 4 Room
Haha ok. Anyway I think for a young couple staying alone without kids, a small flat is ideal.Originally posted by Deportivo:what to do? new flats are always this size. unless you want to buy a 5-room EA.
although it's small, the price i paid was enough for me to part ways with my idea of a bigger flat. bargain.
