  I think the new flats in AMK are very pricey. A new 5-room flat sold by the HDB is around $350,000, based on pricing from the previous balloting exercises.
  
  A similar flat in Sembawang is around $180.000.
  
  Granted, AMK is very convenient in terms of going to most places. On the other hand, you can use the difference to buy a 1.6L car and still come out ahead, depending on how long you stay with the flat.
  
  Some will choose AMK and others will choose to live further but buy a car.

  Anyways. even my folks are hawkers and not educated, but they are people with grace, behaving fairly towards everyone and not take advantage. When he comes over to my mom's place, I had to serve my bf hand and foot. Anwyays, I realise I cannot expect that of everyone and especially other people's mom. Besides, her cooking always makes me sick .... She might be endearing to her own kids. Certainly after being bossed around and getting all sort of sh!t from her... I have other views which I know I cannot share with my bf ... he made it clear he will side his family no matter what. So I told him he's already married to his family. He never needed me. So I look for my own outlet and avoid his family at all costs.

  hmm i hate movin... so was actually thinkin of gettin a flat big enuff to house me, nellie n our kids when they come.
  
  dun plan to have them until i turn 24..
