attraction phase:
nice guys are usually wallflowers and are quiet and unassuming... who notices those?
it's the bad guys who attract attention and being narcissists, they would look good.. and with their loud ways, they would attract attention..
the courtship phase:
the nice guys are boring to a fault because they do not want to harm others, and would be law-abiding citizens... they would probably do the things that are good for everyone.. are salads, cabbage and broccoli exciting cuisine? or is lobster, oysters and steak more exciting?
the jerks excite with their skirting with danger.. and these things make the courtship exhilarating...
the "marriage" phase:
the nice guys are good all the time.. being good all the time, their goodness is missed because it's the "routine".. routine and regular things are never seen.. when the nice guy makes a mistake, the mistake is something that sticks out like a sore thumb... and she'll remember that which is not routine, and will complain bitterly about it all the time, and in time, be filled with contempt over that one thing...
the jerks are horrible all the time and that becomes just background noise and ignored because it is routine.. however, if he does one thing right, that one thing will be remembered by his partner.. she'll think about that one thing and come to the conclusion: he's not that bad after all... and she'll stick by him through thick and thin... -
