  Okay, my turn to head out. Errr....I was supposed to go on the 11:30am van but got side-tracked someone else. So, I'm taking the 12:30pm van.

  Hello, Littlestream! Just got back from lunch at Savoy's next door--I had their baked rigatoni lunch special. Not too bad, but their serving sizes could stand to be a little larger. What did you have for lunch?
  
  Naaah... I'm not much of a hockey fan, so I'm not following the current happenings in that sport.

  Huh? You not hockey fan ah???? How can/come? After all these years leh. But I am a couch fan lah. I've only been to ONE baseball game. I retire from the 'live' scene. But as a young teen in S'pore, even without much pocket money, I would travel all the way to Jalan Besah Stadium to shake hands with Quah Kim Song (my all time favourite) and Dollah Kassim. And in the S'pore Badminton Hall, you can hear me shouting "tembak sama dia'.
  
  As an adult? Well, the "best" thing I've done is go on the streets when our Blue Jays won the World Championship in 91 and again in 92. I was like everything Blue Jays then. From T-shirts to caps, to socks, blah, blah.... But the speed of ice hockey took over my passion and I have been a fan since. It became a common topic for son and me too.
  
  Lunch? Well, yours certainly sounds delicious. Me? Well, I brought my lunch. My usual. A banana, an orange, a pear, one yogurt drink and I had maple oatmeals for breakfast. I've got dried cranberries for snacks later. Sounds boring to you, yah?
  
  Are you busy today? I was, in the morning but it is dying down, just bits and pieces to clean up.
  
  Weekend? Oh, eating sessions again and it starts tonight and for the next three nights. And you? Doing anything or just relaxing to welcome the Fall?

  Just to illustrate my ignorance of professional sports in this state, I was in downtown Minneapolis one evening back in 1991 for dinner with a couple of friends. We ran into THE largest crowd of people I had then seen in the state. It was like a carnival, with people celebrating in the streets and blocking ALL traffic in the downtown area. Turns out that the Minnesota Twins had won the World Series that evening, and I didn't even know about it. How's that for sports ignorance????
  
  Wow, you remember Quah Kim Song and Dollah Kassim, eh? Do you also remember Eric Paine, the goalie for the Singapore soccer team back in the seventies? He actually lived pretty close to me.
  
  I was inundated with work right after I got back from lunch, so I'll be checking in here only intermittently for the rest of the afternoon.
