Seems like you're looking for an Utopia .......Originally posted by foxwalk:I have always known I want to move out of here someday. It's nice here too, but no place for children to grow up in. Anyways, I think I may have found out where I hope to immigrate to (don't know if it's possible to). I will need to find out more. I want a place where I get to experience four distinch seasons, and enjoy winter sports, good laws for workers' rights, uncrowded dinners... I want all of that.
Ok, GCT would have labelled me a quitter, but I don't care.
what culture would you propose to emulate then?Originally posted by foxwalk:I have always known I want to move out of here someday. It's nice here too, but no place for children to grow up in. I am tired of speaking English, and I think I want to move to a country where the main spoken language is not English..Originally posted by alexkusu:What you want and what is possible maybe different things entirely....
I still see NZ in ur future
Finnish.Originally posted by alexkusu:nz has 4 seasons. right now would be spring/summer while in canada, would be winter...i think.
what kind of language do you wan to speak? french? italian? spanish?
no but i can learn. i don't think it's difficult; there aren't hard to make sounds like in french or german... besides many finnish people can speak english pretty well.Originally posted by alexkusu:can you speak finnish?
i dont know much bout finland....oni knw santa claus n nokia
I will learn the language before i get there. don't wory.Originally posted by alexkusu:so let me get this straight..u want to move to a place where you dont want to speak english but you cant speak the local language. The locals there however can speak english according to you. So you will probably end up conversing with them mostly in english...which defeats the purpose of you moving to a place where you do not want to speak english. Is that right?
By then N70 will be obsolete?Originally posted by alexkusu:i wish u luck. just send a nokia n70 down my way if u get there
Iran? I met two Iranians when I was traveling, one was ok, the other is so America lovin' and boring. Sheesh. He kept asking me about Singapore and when I just said like two words, he'd cut in with his tales of Iran and MLM and what not. And it turns me off that he used the word "love" overly, just like Americans.Originally posted by Sigmaprojects:Iran aint bad, been there quite a bit, but just missing some stuff that america has. And it has very distinctive 4 seasons and very diverse wildlife and areas. And I agree right now American culture isn't the best and I'm worried too for how to raise children here in the USA.
I definitely wouldn't wanna raise my kids in the US.Originally posted by Sigmaprojects:Iran aint bad, been there quite a bit, but just missing some stuff that america has. I'm not sure which type you met, but so far I've been able to see that there are 3 types of Iranians, first there is the type who is more for good change and social construction, second there are the older Shaw supporters (the ones the fled during the revolution cuz they didn't want their money to go away), and third there are just the annoying stupid types (all countries have them, but in Iran they are easy to pick out ) I'm not sure what is wrong with using "love" to describe something, I like Iran, but like a lot of places it's missing some stuff and I know I wouldn't move there, at least not yet, they are doing a lot of building and there are nice places there. Many things that people don't know about the country, since most people just think it's one big desert. What northern euro country did you have in mind?Originally posted by foxwalk:Iran?
