[b]HAINANESE CHICKEN RICE???? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......
(Oy, Littlestream. On Oct. 10, I come over to your house, can or not?)
As for our little 'Fall Colours' tour, we've got our club's tiny Citabria booked for this weekend and the next. Aside from the location of the peaking colours, we also have to keep in mind the weather, as my colleague and I are visual flight rules (VFR) certified, meaning we can fly only in clear weather. Besides, if it's a cloudy day, the colours won't show up well in photos.
I'm also planning on taking a few drives out into the coutryside to photograph the colours.

'sides.. how nice if Mrs Bear offers massage
anyway, i'd offer to give her one even if she's not aching anywhere
Instead of driving, have your hubby and you considered taking a train from Toronto out to the west coast? It's a pretty lengthy journey, but if you have the time to spare, you'll probably enjoy it more than driving. The scenery from a train would probably be more spectacular than from a freeway, especially when you're crossing the Rockies.Originally posted by littlestream:Sure....sure..........but what's the drive like? Ontario is really hugh. It takes two days to get out. We hope to try it out later in our lives. Like drive to the West Coast. No, not California but Canada's West which is Alberta and British Columbia. I heard it takes a week. (Sorry Fatum......I know you want to be associated with the West too but from what I know, you are Central ).
Sounds like you have a wonderful plan too. I will look forward to your pic. Hey, but how come Citabria? Not Cessna? Anyways, I don't know what makes a Citabria.
oopsss....Originally posted by the Bear:nah... i believe that should be built up together with Mrs Bear, and with lots of love too

I am innocent.
Yeap, it is true. Hubby may not exactly enjoy doing the same thing but we put in an effort to be interested. We are both into badminton, movie nights and other stuff so we do together.Originally posted by the Bear:actually, it's nice when partners do stuff together like going bowling or whatever, isn't it?
ahh.. news on tv about Japanese scientists taking pics of Giant Squid in the wild!
check out the thread i posted in Nature...
i've been fascinated with that creature for as long as i can remember... even wanted to be a marine biologist in the past to go pursue it... but alas, my biology was crap in school
Wah, MG.....you think I bring home a fat pay check meh? Train ride? Do you know it cost more than an air ticket? But I saw it on the travel network. So stylo one. I like but not to part with the money.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Instead of driving, have your hubby and you considered taking a train from Toronto out to the west coast? Are you able to accommodate an extra passenger on board??Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:Actually, we wanted to book our club's Cessna 152 for the weekend jaunt, but some kiasu club member had already reserved it weeks in advance. We only got the Citabria because someone else had cancelled the booking. Here's what a Citabria looks like:
It's not a particularly fun plane to fly as it is fully aerobatic and thus lacks the inherent 'hands-off' stability of a Cessna 152 or 172, but as the old saying goes, 'Beggars can't be choosers.'
