I love the buns from Four Leaves Bakery. I was very pleased when they had one outlet at the basement of Tangs. Now, it's been taken over by the Gelato counter.
I don't really like Bread Talk much except for these few items - Billy Bundle (pandan-leaf-wrapped bun with sambal ikan bilis inside!), the Apple-Cranberry Bread and the Garlic Bread. They used to make really good Garlic Bread, with generous servings of chopped garlic, but recently, their Garlic Bread looks really pathetic, as they seem to be stinging on the garlic and the butter now.
A lot of neighbourhood bakeries sell great buns too!
A bakery near NTUC in Bt Merah sells this chicken floss bun with a great addition - a Golden Chicken Bak Kwa 'Coin'.

In Holland V, there's a unique bakery behind Holland Rd Shopping Ctr with a French name, I suddenly cannot recall the name! They have nice sandwiches as well as a lovely Cream Cheese Blueberry Bun!

I like four leaves the most especially their cheese and ham sandwich donut.

Bread Talk used to have a very handsome-looking bun with darker brown speckles of dunno whatchamacallit on top, and when you bit into the bun, oooh... strawberry jam and Japanese cream!! :-P~~~Originally posted by ppinkpponk:issit saint germaine?

The new shop, not quite sure of the name, at Toa Payoh Lor 7, I like ther pizza bun. Theirs is not like Bengawan Solo like that, a small one which cost $1 plus. Theirs is round shape, smaller than a real pizza but big compared to those pathetic small ones and only cost $3 per box. Always get sold out very fast.
Then there used to be a shop called " Fresh" beside "cake history" in Toa Payoh. Small shop only but I like to buy bread from there. Cheaper than Breadtalk and Cake History but taste still the same. Like their Yam Bun. -

Hiestand does a great Oreo Cheesecake. And their stuff goes on discount after 7pm or something, lots of good deals then.
