Friendships...

One of my long-time pals (we've known each other for 18 yrs!
) came over to visit me yesterday. We had a really good time, just sitting at the dining table, eating & drinking, & chit-chatting! I felt so happy and satisfied when the day ended - that we were able to catch up on each other's lives and have some heart to heart talk.
What do you like to do with your friends? Go out and catch a movie, and lunch/dinner afterwards? Or go to each others' places to chill out and yak? Do share!

For guys, we go for sport, swimming, suntanning, cycling.
For gals, we go makan, kopi session, window shopping, chit chat.
Quite a while since we go to each other houses for a pot luck session

But there is 1 group of Sec Sch classmates long time never see -
Nice to noe dat u guys still keep in touch & will continue to do so for many yrs to come
'Friends 4ever' didn't last for me. Lost my best friend (of 10 yrs) to her boyfriend.. -
the longest friend i had is doing medicine in australia...18yrs too! He decided to stay there to practice medicine as well...so the last time i met him was at his church wedding...
We use to hang out at cafes to catch up whenever he came back. In fact that's what i usually do when my friends return from overseas. But i really do love to visit them...cause it's so much nicer over their side, UK, US, Japan, Aus, NZ...singapore just don't have the breathing space....
For local friends...sad to say i "lost" 1 of my best friend to fame...still try to catch him once a while. But his schedule is so hectic....if we do meet up it's at some restaurant to makan and chit-chat, prob catch a drink a night, share some old experience we had in school. -
Do not really last for me....
The only friend i had constant contact with suddenly broke off with no reason, now, i cannot be bothered with him as the only time he approaches me is when he needs my help.
Got to know him for five years.
Now, all the friends i have are those who ride plus two classmates.

even though we seldom keep in touch, we still know that we are still friends. these are the true friends.

Friends are all busy with their family and seldom got time to gethering.

buddy of 11 years and still in close contact.
she stay opp my block so we would usually either meet up for coffee at my block coffeeshop, movies, shopping or her house which usually empty most of the time for us to chat up.
will do simple cooking and enjoy the food with her brother or bf. If not just the two of us and cablevision program

i have bunch of friends i know for 11 years and we still go out for supper.

I once had a friend who did that to me too. Really broke my heart. 
But once bitten, twice shy, even when she wanted to renew that friendship, I thought to myself, "No thanks! I don't need a friend like you!" -

Its been awhile since i met up with most of my friends. Been so busy with my work and now i fell sick -

Oh, quick, drink lots of warm water, and at least 6-8 glasses a day if you're not doing so already! It'll really help -
Think I no longer have friends who would do something like that with me. They are married (with or without kids) and hardly have time for me. Those that I still meet, well, it's mostly bec. I visit them, and they are always distracted by their kids, or half the time like to talk about their kids. Sigh.... Oh, I do have other friends with whom I go out in a group, but those are different from the really close friends. -
I always make an effort to remember all my frenz bdae... For long time no c frenz... I will always drop them an SMS to greet them happy bdae. At least i koe tat they hve nt been forgotten, and vice versa.
