A new addition to the (extended) family

  My cousin's wife gave birth to a son about 3 hours ago. I can't believe how quickly everyone's grown up...my younger cousin (his brother) is now an uncle, my aunt's a grandmum, and my grandma's now a great-grandmum! My aunt's flying in next Sunday and that flight was booked long ago. I can't wait for the Cadbury Flake.
  
  The sprog hasn't got a name yet, and I can hear the groans as somebody thinks about confinement (the wife's side is the conservative sort). And mum and grandma are going to buy 4D numbers based on today's date and the kid's IC number, time of birth and weght. The girlfriend finds it rather amusing and so do I.

  I became one long ago when my (paternal side) cousin gave birth 7 years ago, but it's my maternal grandma's first great-grandchild

  Oh, and my cousin (the new uncle) is still 16! I'll post a snapshot of the sprog if I can get my hands on one, Gackt.

  Yeah.. i can't believe how fast every1 grown.. my niece gave birth 2 months ago to a healthy baby boy. so dat makes me... a grand-aunt (yi-po)?

  I think when it's my turn, I'll adopt a child, like another cousin of mine and my uncle. I don't see a point in adding to the world's population when there are children in need of love. If there's some genetic condition that Mrs Nick and I don't want to pass on, then I have a good reason to do so.
