There were those 'holey' net-like tops we threw over our tees, huge colourful plastic dangling earrings were all the rage, girls tied their hair in a one-sided ponytail, wide belts, then there was the short-lived 'Qi3 Gai4 Zhuang1' (aka Beggar's Fashion), where the clothes resembled rags sewn together...

Back then, marketing wasn't so good. When you had a famous kiddy cartoon, the most you would have are stickers and maybe a picture book or two. Not like these days! The merchandise astounds! -

And then later on, there was another theme pub, Atlantis, somewhere in either Tanglin or Orchard. Can't remember.
Our S'pore squash scene was good. We had Peter Hill and Zainal Abideen. Played squash at Kampong Java. Don't know what's on it now. -
