What are / were your stronger subjects in school?

think i am missing something here. what's the thing about blogging and teachers/students? something in the news?
oh well, somehow managed to get this job with such bad language skills but what the heck, as long as my boss is not aware.
my only regret is i didn't get up to scratch with chinese during school days. never realised how important chinese has become now. -

Well with everyone blogging these days, typically students would rant about their teachers / school life. It turns out some teachers find themselves mentioned in a negative way in the blogs, or being called derogatory names. This has lead to cases of students being told off in school and instructed to stop dissing the teachers online heheh.

i don't think so..
coz the same lot are the same people i meet at work, they all speak mandarin very VERY well and read the chinese papers

well ... I hate to say it ... (my daddy's a teacher too ) ... but i suppose it comes with the job ... personal attacks are one thing ... but restricting student's freedom of expression is another ... respect is a two way street ... remember that video from RI that showed a poor student being blasted by the teacher ? ... if the teachers can't even respect their student as individuals, how can they expect the same in return ? ... and how the students would turn out then ? ... my father's an ITE teacher, and his regular rant is against secondary school teachers, .... of how some poor student were already "written off" by their former secondary schools long ago ... (he actually had a poor student once who can't perform 1/4 + 1/4 .... chap was marked as a trouble maker and a poor student, as such his former teachers never paid much attention to him .... he was "written off" ...... ).Originally posted by choco B:Well with everyone blogging these days, typically students would rant about their teachers / school life. I shall always remember some teachers fondly ... as motivators, someone who believed in what they were doing .... for the others ... i think it would be better for them to find some other careers, to save their own sanity ... and their students too ... -

you must realise that its like you may be the worst in your skool but then in the end compared to the rest of the cohort you are like one of rhte best ones.
for all you know you may just have beenlucky(?) to meet the chinese good pple -

They were all about the same... At A levels, 1st year- flunked almost everything.
A levels - aced almost everything.
But then, it matters no more now. -
O LEVELS:
Studying history and E Lit - so relaxing, just stay in bed and read, till I fall asleep, then I wake again and onctinue studying in bed.
Chemistry and mathematics - practise while listening to 98.7 (radio channel choice of teenagers)
A LEVELS:
in science stream, so for almost everything I am hooked on the radio while copying classmates' homework and trying to understand it till 2 am in the night... only change? switched to gold 90 fm. Now how many 17 year olds you know listened to gold 90? it's still my fave channel. they play nice oldies at nite, and jazz on sunday nites.. i never listened on sunday afternoons, because they play country.. well i'm not that nerdy to like country.. -
stronger subjects.. tend to be maths and science..
needless to say, my weaker ones are the humanities and languages.. -
i got A1 for chinese, F9s for the other subjects in my prelim.
but i lost to my classmate, he had 7 F9s.
that was more than 20 years ago. -
English and Humans lor and Sometimes Science (see I got study or not)

A level prelim fail everything. But principal praised me for having improvement since last common test. Improvements like, scoring double digits when last common test i scored single digits. Till today I wonder if I wasn't dreaming about that actually happening.
funnier still, my fren who's a straight As student got a B for his math. Kenna called in to get screwed over.
