Now that's water retention.
That must have been quite a shock, esp. in the early morning!Originally posted by Rhonda:Man, that's mild.
I woke up once and overnight, I was 3.5 kgs heavier!! Then two days later, back to normal.

i dunno leh.. i only noe if i take in more than 500 ml in a day, i'd be runnin to the toilet every 30 min...Originally posted by Wanda:I thot the thing that retains water is the amount of salt or minerals taken in, as excess water (e.g. your 2 litre) will just passed out?
Not that simple. Hormones play a part too, namely, the hormones secreted by our adrenal glands, located on our two kidneys.Originally posted by Wanda:I thot the thing that retains water is the amount of salt or minerals taken in, as excess water (e.g. your 2 litre) will just passed out?
500mls isn't a lot of water.Originally posted by shinta:i dunno leh.. i only noe if i take in more than 500 ml in a day, i'd be runnin to the toilet every 30 min...
its a large amount of urine passed out each time..Originally posted by Rhonda:500mls isn't a lot of water.
It's good to train your bladder to hold more. By right, we should be passing a moderate to large amount of urine each time, and not make frequent trips just to pass a trickle each time.

Yeah, I know...that's why I don't like to drink water.Originally posted by shinta:i dunno leh.. i only noe if i take in more than 500 ml in a day, i'd be runnin to the toilet every 30 min...
Too much salt DOES worsen water retention. That's why it's not advisable for hypertensive folks to have too much salt intake because their fluid levels will rise, which means a greater blood volume, which means more work on the heart which has to beat harder / more often to pump that larger blood volume around the body, and the blood vessels have to start dilating to accommodate the volume.Originally posted by kaobeikaobu:think normally depends on one's diet nature i.e. salt intake...
but but but.. im too young to know about female's internal structure...Originally posted by Rhonda:Well, be more open-minded, alexkusu!
You DO live amongst womenfolk, don't you? Grandma, mom, aunt, cousins, classmates, schoolmates, friends, and in future, girlfriend (that one hopefully not in the plural tense! hahaha!! )...
Just like Breast Cancer Awareness, it's good to know about such things. Ignorance doesn't mean bliss.
Guess you have no worries....no one can ever accuse you of being a SNAG or metrosexual...haha...Originally posted by alexkusu:but but but.. im too young to know about female's internal structure...
