  i came back to sg even though i got pr in australia after studying there for three years.Unless u can have ur family there w u,it will nvr be like home.Some more if u think u r competing on fair term w the ang mo in the workplace then u r wrong coz executive position is alway reserved for the whites skinned first.UNLESS your company owned by asian.Then u find that asian boss in aus is most prob china chinese who squeeze every cent out of u and believe in i pay u,u my dog mentality.Dun alway think the pasture on the other side is always greener,often its dryer over there.

  You are right...We never feel like home...
  You may not be able to call a friend for coffee easily at night.
  You may be disappointed with your career expectations.
  You may find it hard to build personal relations at work or in general.
  
  However, there has been a lot of changes abt culture diversity in recent time.
  It is not really bad as it used to be...Or perhaps I am lucky..not feel under that pressure ...
  
  But going overseas to work is life experience...it challenges you , sth that we cannot find at home...Then one day, you can bring those skills back home...
