2 x debit card, considering citibank readycredit and clear card. but clear card doesn't seems to have enough perks for me
lately the adviser at citibank keep calling me up to fax in my payslip ever since i had gotten a car.... had a 75% loan from HSBC... make me wonder if the companies are in cahoots.. -

i have 9 credit cards, though i actively only used 2 - Black card for its 2x or 4x points, but bcos not everyone accepts Amex, so i use Citibank Visa for those merchants who dun. Others like DBS Women's and UOB Ladies, i will use them when there are promotions or discounts.
The reason for holding so many cards is simply bcos they are free and have varying sets of privileges. Sometimes they offer freebies upon application, so i just apply lor.
Obviously some of u out there have missed the point -- using credit cards doesnt necessarily mean u will overspend -- that is very much up to ur self discipline... using credit cards offer leverage at no cost if u pay up on time, and u can accumulate points at the same time!
so whenever i have got the chance, i will definitely swipe the card... -

Credit Card is for people who can control their spending.
Controlling spending is hard when you have a card that says, even if you've no money this month, you can still buy.
It's about arresting spending. And the perks from CC are all the interest they charge from the companies that allows the cards to be used. -

CC contributes a hell lot to bad debts.

OUB credit card is the best,offer many 1 for 1 dinner and lunch which helps u save money when in dine in hotel and restaurant! I like my v much!

Of course u do not purposely go to eat at that shop just for that 10% discount lah...i do that only when i want to try it. Not bcos of the discount..i will surely try when there is a 50% discount though -

Com.on guys..having 10 or even 12 cards is nothing amazing...more likely being too gullible n too "tan xiao pian yi" or in eng means cheap skate to own so many jus for e same old discounts wen u flash e cards...but end of day u r still making puchase of hundreds or thousand n enjoy pathetic discounts with TERMS N CONDITIONS attached...
Eg: Use tis card to make purchase at any XXXX outlet u get 10% off the bill, but behind e coupon in tiny wordings states "applicable for min purchase of S$200 and above or only on selected items in store..got e gist n see e smoke screen behind all these cards promo..i hav 4 or 5 banker frens workin for TOP 4 banks n let me tell u..they too do not own any cards unless they being forced by wives / galfrens or a requiste for e banks they r workin for..

Whats e point of getting cards just for e discounts n offers (which i tink its a cover-up / excuse for pple who truly mind abt his/her level of status in this overly-materialistic SG society. Its real sad to kinda see pple stamping or eliminating their co-workers in order to protect their post in e co. at the expense of those talented but simple-minded workers, who has lost their confidence n job sue to such vain, materialistic pple always aiming for e top and climbing e corporate ladder n achieving it by stamping, degrading, framing, and worse of all copying e strengths of e truely clever 1s (but poor in playing politics) n secretly imitating or trying to act /speak/write exactly like those cleverer peeps.
I think pple who boasts online n stil defending themselves by flaming unnecessary on other forumites' thread which are not even meant for them to comment on r simply HYPOCRITES N PSYCHOs who behave n tok logically but behave pervertly or insanely in places wher they can show their dark side of personality. The only benefit you can gain out of using CC is if you use your CC for company expenses, such as buying air tickets, traveling and entertainment etc. And convert reward points to $$ voucher.
