I paid bloody $400+ for my Swissflex specs last year, paid for with my year-end bonus.
I wouldn't even change my specs if my old pair didn't look crappy and the lens coating had worn off.
One of my colleagues begged me to go change my specs even!
So, I went. Because I have a large diameter for a face,
, I ended up feeling comfortable only with this Swissflex one. It's pretty flexible, made of what... titanium or surgical-grade steel, whatever, and can last and is very light.
Thought about it for a long long long time before returning to the shop to say, 'OK!' and then, sim tia for sooooo long because it's bloody $400+!
And then, not even a year later, one of the supports on the nose, pee char! Broke! I was too fed-up to get it fixed and anyways, I don't wear my specs that often.
Next, the rubber piece preventing the metal end from jabbing at the back of the ear, kai hua!
So I fixed it with... eh... something sticky.
And then, it kept getting entangled in my hair, and each time I pulled it out, my hair would micro-cut it, like y'know, papercuts? And the rubber piece lagi kai hua like machiam springtime! Blooooooom!! Like that!
And if they're going to pursue bloody ISO for optometrists here, man, that Swissflex would probably end up costing $600+++!
Like that, I might as well go blind!
