just because u can self help doesn't mean others can. just because we all should know doesn't mean others can don't help. whats wrong with asking for a more humane society? if we don't ask, should we just let it slide back into 2005 B.C.? Sinagapore is already halfway there anyways. Maybe I shouldn't bother! Im not obliged to care about singapore's society anyways.Originally posted by MeOwSuSan:human is like that...

enlighten and graceious society? So why did you want to stay in UK instead of coming back? Push factors in sg is so numerous that people who left don't mind being called quitters!Originally posted by HENG@:is that any justification for such apathy? I mean, aren't we supposed to be working towards a more enlightened and gracious society? Then whats the point of acting like we're all from 2005 B.C.?
there's nth wrong with saying that...Originally posted by HENG@:thats why we're saying people should be more humane here! whats wrong with us saying that? why we say here people should be more humane must have some of u come in and speak against us?
no wonder i dun want to go back to sg.
they are quite a large percentage partially responsible for her death.Originally posted by shinta:there's nth wrong with saying that...
but what i see is ppl blaming the taxi driver blaming the policeman for the death of the girl.
how are they responsible?Originally posted by HENG@:they are quite a large percentage partially responsible for her death.
May be too young....Originally posted by a_splash:its good that u know....but there are some who don't....
just wondering was it too much to ask that cabby to send the dying girl to the hospital??
i didn't know that politics from the top down can be an excuse for personal apathy. Seriously everyone got a brain. dun want to use it then i also cannot say anything much. yea perhaps I WILL stay in UK. Unfortunately Singapore is where I am born, society gets more and more Fucked up u think I happy mah? Maybe u can say I care too much loh. Should I be more apathetic like everyone else in Sg? Perhaps. But maybe the real quitters are the apathetic people. They've quit caring.Originally posted by mistyblue:enlighten and graceious society? sg is full of the new-rich with a shallow history and not much of culture to talk about. Everything that happens, it all comes from top down. Don't blame the people at the bottom of the social ladder for their attitude as this is strongly influenced from the policies enforced with no much flexiblilty from top mdown
I agree ....Originally posted by shinta:how are they responsible?
esp the policeman part..
it wasn clear if the police heard the driver.
but everyone jumped in n said the police is as fault.
even if they couldn't hear him, they could have stopped the car and check out wat's wrong right?Originally posted by shinta:how are they responsible?

best is to call ambulance agree !!! support it !!Originally posted by rainee:horn nia how the policeman wud know what's going on wor...so not fair to blame him also...unless the taxi driver horned a few times then he still sped away, then got something to hold him on to...
the first taxi driver shudnt have just say no and said he is heading off to another area, I mean a life is in danger, shudnt he just try his best to give his assistance?
And yea, best is to call ambulance, at least other vehicles on the road will give way...
Anyway, it has already happened, just take it as a lesson and stop pointing fingers...
