you'll know that you don't get Bird Flu by eating chickens. It gets transmitted when a person comes into contact with infected poultry or its excrement.
Scrutinised the entire fact sheet but didn't see anything about becoming infected by eating chicken.

anyone knows why? no flaming, sorry if someone's offended that's not my intention.
Increasingly, there are more and more folks who like to flame others, and then try to absolve themselves of all responsibilities thereafter, not wanting to bear the consequences of their loose tongues / shooting their mouths off / plain stupidity, or in this case, blatant racism.Originally posted by sexiest_studin_world:dont flame me but why mongoloids/asians/orientals always start these bird flus, sars all kinds of weird diseases?

Ito, because of his post, we do have reason to be angry. BUT, we don't have to resort to such colourful language and vocabulary!Originally posted by Ito_^:becuase of your stupid mother's farking habits, anyhow go around have sex with animals thats why it jumped to human beings. you farking fag.

The worry about bird flu or any other viruses (or virii, if you like) is their propensity to mutate. even if the rate of mutation is very low, by virtue of the large number of replications (of the virus particles) it is quite likely that a mutation that leads to increase virulence or ability to switch species is highly likely.
As to answer why these things always seem to originate from Asia... well, it's simply untrue. There had been two major influenza epidemics in the last century and they both happened in the west. One happened during the First World War and the other named the Spanish Flu. And in addition to this, the Black Plague (caused by the bacteria Yestinia pestis also happened in Europe.
I'm sure Asia also had its fair share of endemics/ epidemics, my point is that diseases don't ALWAYS originate from Asia.
So will the Real Ignorant Fools please stand up!!!
