i dont agree with you.Originally posted by Aveme:i wonder why she has to make a mountain out of a molehill.
Here she is the one who is asking for a Favor.Since she has the energy to questioned the staff on his decision,it shows she is coherent and do not look like she is going to have a heatstroke anytime.
So since you are asking for a Favor, anyone can have the rights to refuse you.The staff may seem not to apathy her but does it give her the right to blast him and shame him on national media by naming out the outlet?
So next time when she need small favors from people around her and they for their own reason refuse her,she is going to go about as if it is her damn right that everyone has to oblige if not she makes sure they suffer. It does not speak well of her own character and she has think she is holy enough to question the character of this person she met.
so if there are random strangers who suddenly came out of nowhere to ask you for small random favors and for your own reason, you are not comfortable about giving it,it give that person the rights to shame you?Originally posted by dragg:i dont agree with you.
it is only an ice cube. it is not even worth 5 cents.
she certainly should shame him.
your comparison is weak.Originally posted by Aveme:so if there are random strangers who suddenly came out of nowhere to ask you for small random favors and for your own reason, you are not comfortable about giving it,it give that person the rights to shame you?
It is not whether how worthy or expensive/cheap the favor is.What matters is that in its basic form,it is still a favor asked.
If you are asking for a favor, you have to accept that some people may just not oblige and you jolly well take it in your stride and not try to shame the person. That is emotional blackmailing.
not4rentOriginally posted by dragg:your comparison is weak.
it all depends on the nature of the favour. it is very difficult to compare.
but in this case you have someone asking for just a cube of ice. her reason being she does not have any money with her and she is thirsty. it is obvious the writer is not trying to con the vendor. he can be skeptical if she is asking for money or asking for a free coke (something more expensive) but how much does a cube of ice cost him?
there is no reason at all to turn her down.

Just like the lady think it is just an ice cube that does not cost the other person much, does it cost this lady even anything to forgive him?
No right,it does not cost this lady anything right? So why did she not forgive him?
i do not understand why everything must be seen in the prespective of the lady.Originally posted by Lance_han:for one, i nv said anything about the actions of the staff in the first place...i only asked u to put yourself into her shoes and view the situation from her prespective..tat wae, u can gleam valuable info tat will answer the Qns u asked me here...
