If you're referring to the old coffeeshop, yes, the hor fun stall is still there, but in a more spruced up shop with a queing system which is more like a foodcourt system....was spruced up > 7-8 yrs ago. But I haven't been there for a while, so hope it's still there.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:During my time, I recall there was a roadside corner restaurant selling really good Ipoh sar hor fun (pardon my sucky Cantonese) just off one of the main roads in central HV. Is the restaurant still there?
is there a TCC at HV?Originally posted by BÃ¥seline:Ah, thanks for the update Rhonda.
Love the overall mood there... non flashy and relax.
Coffeeclub and TCC looks gd for a pl to talk and chill.

I think it's at the end of Jalan Mambong, near the bus stop heading towards Clementi? It's a light brown building, I think.Originally posted by kAdEn:Not that i've seen. But there are other cafes around
Yup, there's a coffee joint behind the bus stop, next to Eski Bar.Originally posted by SydneyLibrarian:I think it's at the end of Jalan Mambong, near the bus stop heading towards Clementi? It's a light brown building, I think.

yep. i like michaelangelo too... but prefer sistina (right next to it) for pizza & pasta. they're by the same boss and the latter's slightly cheaper and imho, equally, if not better, tasting...Originally posted by ceecookie:I like michealangelo....went there in 2003 for my bd...mmm beri nice

The bookstores are gone, except for the 2nd-hand bookstore on the 2nd floor of Holland Rd Shopping Ctr.Originally posted by diggo:IMHO
HV use to have the rustic charm to it. laid back and relax place... not too hip. Welcome the changes to the set up of shops and eateries, but the changes has make it become so... commercial. Another Mohd Sultan.
Used to go there to browse the various bookstores and "old-timer" shops there.
Even if they survive, age has caught up with the ownerOriginally posted by Rhonda:The bookstores are gone, except for the 2nd-hand bookstore on the 2nd floor of Holland Rd Shopping Ctr.
The old-timer shops are barely surviving... one by one, they're disappearing.
DunnoOriginally posted by Rhonda:I'm not sure, but I think that Guardian Pharmacy in Holland V might have gone 24/7 too!
I'll go ask their staff to confirm this the next time I go! Or, does anyone in here know for sure?
