  Cheer up, Gacky. I guess just spend more time with her. Sit by her side. Even if not talking, the sense or knowledge that a "presence" is there is very comforting. Hold her her hands too. Physical touch is also very comforting. Just let your love for your grandma flow.

  i understand certain things are beyond control. Alas fate is sometimes we cant control. Grandma will understand you have her in the heart.

  Maybe, since distance seems to be a problem, you can find out what type of songs she likes listening to, and compile a tape/CD of music of her favourite songs and send it to her? I'm sure she'll appreciate the gesture! And music does soothe the soul, speed recovery, and helps a person feel less alone! Just my 2 cts worth!
