nothing to do with sentosa as far they are concerned.Originally posted by the Bear:hmmm... i wonder if stonefish venom actually causes that?
i know it's a complex venom.. part of which is a neurotoxin element...
that being said, i still wonder what Sentosa has to do with his ill-fortune?

They can't possibily tell the stonefish, " Mr Stone Fish...Please don't swim into our lagoon as someone might step on you"Originally posted by dragg:nothing to do with sentosa as far they are concerned.

I dunno about Stone Fish but I do know that it's close ugly relative the Scorpion Fish can be eaten though it stings like the Stone Fish. And yes, though it's ugly, it's considered gourmetOriginally posted by the Bear:well, if someone comes up with a recipe for some kinda outrageously expensive gourmet dish, see them disappear so bloody quickly, you'd never believe it!

Diving is something I'd love to do 'someday'. Years ago, I had a couple of dive-crazy colleagues but I didn't join them in their expeditions because it costs too damn much! And back then, I was earning so many times more than what I draw now.Originally posted by Fatum:they are not quite an uncommon sight while diving in local waters ... if you know where to look that is ....
they are expensive because of the toys that divers like to buy .... and because being in Singapore, we have to travel overseas to get clear waters and pristine reefs ....Originally posted by Rhonda:Diving is something I'd love to do 'someday'. Oi, Fatum! You trying to kill me, ah?!Originally posted by the Bear:wanna dive around Melbourne??
don't think that can happen unless you have a dry suit or something like that which will prevent hypothermia
