Aquariums and Underwater Worlds!

Decided to post my photos of the new Aquaria in KLCC in a new thread because I'd love to see photos that any of you might have taken of any other aquariums and / or Underwater Worlds too! It'll be like our very own mini 'National Geographic' or 'Discovery' kinda feature on aquariums that we've been to!
So... please share the photos if you have them! And tell us a bit too about that place itself, stuff like how you'd rate it, whether you'd recommend folks to visit, etc.
I loooooove zoos and aquariums! I still wish our old Van Kleef Aquarium was still in existence.
I used to go there alone after school or during weekends to just gaze at the displays for hours! I miss it sooo much!
I've never been to our Underwater World yet.
Does anyone have photos of it to share in here? -
Welcome to the spanking new KLCC Aquaria!!
Here, the displays follows what other aquariums around the world are doing... replicate the natural terrain and environment the creatures live in. That's why there are lovely rainforest displays and what-not in there. Good concept.
Reminds me of the Aquarium I visited in Baltimore, MD.
Near the entrance, you'll see displays of reptiles!

I found this pillar-like tank very impressive! (But I've seen the same thing in Baltimore, I think... so it wasn't unique.)
Walk through the Underwater Tunnel and hey!... it's Feeding Time!!
I love the vibrant colours in this tank!
Wish they would put a comfy couch in front of it so you can stare at it for HOURS!

Tried to take photos of Dory... but she was zipping around soooo fast, all the photos of her were totally blur!

This is the same fudu fish that's a delicacy to the Japanese, right? If you slice it wrongly, the toxins in its stomach will be released and you can DIE eating fudu sashimi!

It's in KLCC's Convention Ctr, which is just beside the Petronas Towers. It's linked via the underpass in Suria KLCC Mall that's beside Tower Records.
Don't miss it if you go there!

But eh... the call of my purse is louder than the call of the ocean for now! Moreover, my purse is kinda empty so when it calls, there's an echo cause of the vacuum, so, it's actually louder than the sea! -

I had this fantasy of travelling to one of those polynesian islands and become a professional beach bum .... I'll start a scuba school on a beach cottage and teach diving to hordes of nubile japanese and french tourists ...... aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh .............

If I were rich, I'd get a yacht and sail out to sea now and then and just spend a few days drifting there.
My dad used to bring us out on his friend's yacht. I was pretty sua ku then and climbing up and down the yacht's ladder was quite a task to me and I was squealing and screaming for help, afraid that I'd fall into the sea!
And then, sitting on the dinghy-like raft to be transported from the yacht to dry land was quite an experience!
I was in lower Pri then, and a city kid through and through. So whenever dad brought my bro and me to sail or to his friends' farms, I was like totally sua ku!! My eyes were

There... the Dolphin Show at Baltimore's Aquarium!
Too bad when I went there, I didn't own a digicam so had to rely on disposable cameras. These photos were taken by my friends on their digicams but when they sent it to me, it was grainy!
Wish I had taken more shots! Always my #1 regret after returning from vacations - didn't take enough photos!

The tarantulas look really scary! Sinister but yet, there's a kinda beauty that beckons you to be mesmerised by it, yeah? Scared, but wanna look at it in detail!
