I think you should, or else we will have to change this into a spinster club few years down the road.Originally posted by elindra:Maybe I should start a match-making service here.
Which century do you live in? Haven't you heard that there are ladies and gentlemen around who actually CHOOSE to be single and are happily unattached?Originally posted by Gazelle:I think you should, or else we will have to change this into a spinster club few years down the road.
life to me a like all the different chapters of a book. If you remain single for too long, it will be like reading the same chapter over and over again. The chapter that you are reading now could be the most exciting of all, but the excitement will wear out after awhile.Originally posted by Rhonda:Which century do you live in? Adopting your trend of thought, the same can be applied for marriage too. And then, what? After the 'excitement' wears out, get a divorce?Originally posted by Gazelle:life to me a like all the different chapters of a book. This is just my view about life and my 5 cents worth of opinion.
once excitement wears out, married couple will usually have children. once there is a new member to the family, it will be a new chapter again. Once the babies start to walk and talk, it is another chapter again and the new chapter will continue untill you hit the grave.Originally posted by Rhonda:Adopting your trend of thought, the same can be applied for marriage too. i've got a dog instead of children... does tat count?!Originally posted by Gazelle:once excitement wears out, married couple will usually have children. once there is a new member to the family, it will be a new chapter again. as for being single, I dont know what will happen once the excitment wears out.
1 dog is not enough, should have at least 3. At least one of them die before you, you will have 2 left.Originally posted by tare:i've got a dog instead of children... does tat count?!
This sounds like the good ol' mistake - trying to inject life into a marriage by having children. Or, worse, trying to revive a marriage gone bad by having kids!Originally posted by Gazelle:once excitement wears out, married couple will usually have children. once there is a new member to the family, it will be a new chapter again. How about a 25-yr old lady marrying a man 15 years older than her?Originally posted by Rhonda:Weird... what about a 25-yr old lady marrying a man 12 years older than her? Since one out of two is in the mid 20's range, then, the success rate would be 50%?
This survey is subjective, IMHO!
rhonda since you are still single, I honestly dont think you know alot about marriages. Everytime we talk about this topic, you always like to give us all the pestimistic views about marriages. Why? tyring to encourage other to be like you? Or are you trying to show others being single is the right thing to do?Originally posted by Rhonda:This sounds like the good ol' mistake - trying to inject life into a marriage by having children. You should know better already!
