I was reading about the courses on offer at the various poly's here, discussed by a few of you yesterday.
IMO, the Early Childhood course should be offered to the general public so that those who are thinking of becoming parents should attend a condensed version of it first. Not that graduating from the course would guarantee that one would be a good parent but at least, one would be armed with really valuable information about parenting, taking care of children, nurturing them, cooking right for them, etc.
And oh, they ought to hold a condensed version in Mandarin. More and more, I feel that although English is our first language, the standard just ain't there - cmi!

Sunday that Zaobao article on those irritating non aircon, the bus co was scared off until it gave in immediately by deploying more aircon buses the very next working day
I still remembered years back when I called in and complain, they said call the media lor, we are not scared of you... Ya ya ya

Did u read about the employer woman who pimped her domestic helper out of sympathy for the maid? She has so much sympathy that she decides to take $310 out of the maid's 'earnings', leaving the maid $80 from her sideline.
I wished they would jail the employer woman for 2 wks at least. -

But they are deploying these non aircon buses on services that has overloading leaving those aircon buses for lower demand svs - this is the part ppl are unhappy abt
Anyway the maintenance of these 16-17 year old buses are horrible compared to their brothers that have been converted to aircon buses 5 years back -
