Greedy Pets

well, one of my dear departed hamsters was greedy beyond compare...
he ate and grew so much, people seriously thought he was a baby normal hamster...
when i told them he was a dwarf hamster, they looked kinda amused that a dwarf would grow so big and fat

right now, i'm starving my current hamster
he's become so spoilt that he doesn't shell the sunflower seeds himself.. he expects people to shell them for him...
he'll eat other kinds of things but will not eat the sunflower seeds.. so i'm not shelling them for him... and put a lot of sunflower seeds in the cage -

only give him sunflower seeds lor then it will sure it one no choice haha -

out of the many types of food i can heap on one spoon to him, he only eat the sunflower seeds and two or three other types
gonna starve him too till he learn to eat other types -

its very hard to 'play' with hamsters
they just wanna eat, sleep and get away from u -

i kinda discipline my hammie sometimes, like whacking them on their nose
coz they get fidgety whenever i hold them
afterwards, they know its time to stay still ler
but this trick, havent try on current hammie yet -

If you want you can buy it at Hougang. The shop is near Kovan MRT. They sell them cheap there...actually alot of weird fishes there are cheap. I paid I think $8 or $9 bucks for my catfish. -

too bad, i don't have any pics of him now... i think they have been thrown out with the stuff when i was transferred..
we used a Mavica camera to take pics when i was in that office.. it wrote directly to a CD -

he was hilarious too..
i remembered the silly fella getting the pine shavings for his little house on the upper floor of the cage..
he'd have a mouthful of the stuff, walk up the ladder, place it in the house, then look over the edge of the floor, then somersault down to the lower floor, landing on his back..

He's too lazy to climb down that he rather jump -

its always the same pattern, look over the edge, inch forward, then lose balance, and desperately try to grab anything
they can do this so many times -
maybe that's why he got so fat
but he was very greedy...
when awake, he was always eating.. and you could not drag him away from the food!

I would open a cup of yogurt and sit on the couch, watching TV. She'd sniff it, and jump up on the seat beside me, and buay pai sey stuff her ENTIRE CAT FACE into my cup!!!
Once, I was so engrossed with the TV programme, I didn't know she had her face inside my cup already and when I tried to scoop without looking, *ponk! the spoon hit her head and I yelled, 'SuuuuuuuuuuuZiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie!!!', but she didn't even respond to my yell!
So, everytime I ate strawberry yogurt, I HAD to put a few spoonfuls of it on her plate for her and whoa... just watch her slurp it all up!! She did 'tongue-sprints' where strawberry yogurt was concerned! -
here's a story...
a colleague of mine was telling me of his friend's misadventures with pacman frogs...
he had about 10 of them.. and he wanted a poisonous salamander...
so somewhere along the darker alleys of the information superhighway, he traded in 9 of the frogs for one of the salamanders...
the idiot placed it in the tank, the pacman frog hopped over and ate the salamander.. and he was left with no salamander and a dead frog -

My ex-flatmate was sooo lazy, I took care of his hamsters for him.
I loved to wait till they had stuffed their cheeks with the seeds, then I'll catch them, and poke their cheeks! You can actually feel the seeds inside their cheeks!! -

strawberry yogurt = BIG EVIL -
