where to get good beef sausages?
i tried a few but most like weird.
have you ever tried the beef sausage (cooked) sold at cold storage? -

I know they're high in sodium and preservatives, but never thought of ham as 'fattening'.

There's a shop in Taman Warna (Holland Village) which sells fresh sausages. I love the stuff there as well as the ones from Swiss Butchery. And there's an Austrian guy who sells sausages with onions rolls, saukraut and mustard outside Chinatown Complex - his fare is tasty and cheap!
My mouth's watering uncontrollably...

Am quite fed up - the pork chipolatas I bought from Fairprice yesterday evening was not fresh. There was no way to tell until I open up the packet at home, hoping to cook dinner, and straight away I could smell it.
Had written to them to complain. -
I don't like to buy deli meats from FP. I find the one sold at Cold Storage taste better. It must have totally ruined your dinner plans! I can imagine, getting all ready to cook, and then, that happens!

Well, it was a last min purchase and FP was nearest to my home. Having learnt my lesson, if I have to buy from FP in future, what I shd do is - after paying, stand past the cashier counter, open up the sausages to check for freshness before leaving. They have pre-packed deli stuff
CS have saffron too but I think saffron is so expensive but it is so nice with spanish rice
I rather make a trip to Carrefour I think. I don't go to Mustafa unless Hub is around to help me carry stuff -
Does the saffron really give it the flavour? Meaning, without it, the rice/dish tastes plain like that? I can't remember if I'd had it.
Some spices got no flavour one, e.g. tumeric...only gives colour. -
