The best and worst do not necessarily have to correspond with the monetary value of the gift. The best - meaning you really wanted it and/or really loved it, and the worst - meaning you had totally no use for it and/or don't know how to use it.
I can't remember what mine were right now, but feel free to share yours.

Best : A PDA... gt it juz when i need to replace my manually written organizer...
Worst : A very simple wallet... Put tis kant put tat kant... So juz hide in my collection cabinet... wondering when will i touch it again! -
Best present? I dunno.... I usually love the gifts I receive.
Worst present? Received that on 25 December 2004 via email. Think some of the forumites might remember it because I posted it here

The best - this money pouch with cats embroidered on it for Christmas one year, by a colleague who knows that I love the cat bags and such from this Japanese stall in Takashimaya! It was the most well-thought gift!
Also, this cat notebook from another colleague who went shopping with her family, saw it, and KNEW that I'd love it and promptly got it for me!
Worst gift... erm... too many to mention in here!
But the one that takes the cake has to be ...
A hanger (one that you stick to the back of your door for hanging stuff). It looked... tacky!

best is a biotherm mask my fren got me.. cos i was jus saying i wanted to try it (casually), then the next week, she bought me that!! so surprised!
Worst arh... think is some random soft toys... (me only like pooh and frens)

Best presents are presents that are given by people who think you deserved it rather than being forcefully obliged to give due to some occasions.
Worst presents are mocking presents or anything deliberately used to cause any sort of unhappiness for anyone. -

anyway what made it worse is tt it seem left at a corner for a long time, the box seem yellowish and abit torn... -

I remember now...one of the not-so-great gifts I'd received must be pens...there was a stage when I keep getting one every year.... I wonder why?
I also don't use the photo frames that I'd received. *shrug*

I was once browsing the shops after lunch with an ex-colleague of mine, and saw an interesting fat pencil which looked like a tree trunk which attracted my attention but didn't buy it. Later my colleague went back and bought it for me for no special reason at all. Very sweet, hor, even though it's a cheap item. The thot behind it made it memorable. -

My ex was very very sweet! I was telling him once how the married folks in my office would wear their wedding bands on a chain around their necks cause it gets in the way of the frequent handwashing we have to do, and then, next thing I knew, he gave me a solitaire diamond pendant and a white gold chain cuz he said he knew a ring would be worn around my neck anyways.
