I learnt that the hard way... when I threw a couple of chicken bones to the neighbour's dog in the US, and had the shock of my life
when the dog ATE UP the bones!!! He didn't chew them, like I thought they would, ... instead, I heard CRUNCH!! CRUNCH!!! and then turned around to see him EATING the bones!! 
I called up one of my American friends and told him what just happened and he said, 'Oh goodness! Sweetie, you NEVER give a dog a bone, literally! You might have just killed the dog!!' And I was
!!
The next morning, I ran out to the backyard, yelling, ''Quiche!! Quiche!!!'' (the doggy's name), and was soooo happy when he ran out, all happy to see me!
Oh man!! I learnt my lesson well that time!
So, now, I leave all the 'give a dog a bone' business to that knick-knack paddy-whack man called 'This Ol' Man'! -

its just that my mother pampers my dog so much that everytime she gives my dog a biscuit...she goes
"you want a bone-bone....does this little doggy want a bone-bone?"
so bone to me also means a biscuit -

i think buying them a chew toy would be nice
but i just learnt on Discovery Channel, where they test the bite pressure of different breed of dogs and cats, including a lion and hyenas
They applied the same pressure on bones, and the bones got smashed -

Eh... blogs are meant for public viewing unless the blogger sets up some privacy options to restrict viewers.
Reading someone's blog need to ask permission one ah? Erm.. need to fill up form and apply for licence or not?
