How is Narnia the movie? Someone told me it's very good and that I shd watch it...but then this came from someone who is familiar with the book (Narnia) but had never seen an episode of LOTR, which I am using as the yardstick for mythical movies.
So, is Narnia as good as LOTR? Better, or not as good?
(Pls don't bother to compare with the Harry Potter movies coz I find those very un-engaging). -

Narnia vs LOTR
(pls note comments are in relative to the other movie and purely personal opinion)
Storyline:
Narnia = somewhat simplistic, I think owing to fact that this is a children's book
LOTR = more complex story
Movie enjoyment factor:
Narnia = 7/10, still worth the movie dollar
LOTR = 8/10
CGI eye poppers:
LOTR = good
Narnia = slightly below good, but still good. I like the Minotaurs.
Hunk factor:
Narnia = zero!
LOTR = wins hands down
Cheem factor (can I understand the movie without reading the book?) :
Narnia = definitely
LOTR = yes, but must pay attention when watching @.@

Narna = 2 . First few minutes of movie was definitely heart-wrenching & tear inducing

Hmm... I think I'll still go and watch ''Chronicles of Narnia'', for the CGI, and for the thrill of seeing the books that I read when I was a little girl, come to life on the big screen. -

if i think a movie's crap... my frenz won't watch them either..
but if i think a movie's good... they'd consider a long long time before they decide if they're gg to watch it anot.. .esp if i say a movie is funny..

well, it's coz she'll watch anything.. as in, she's kinda indiscriminate when watching movies... she'll watch pretty lousy movies and still like them
