I know book vouchers will be among them...my sister's former nanny will probably give an article of clothing. I got my father a white shirt...he never wears plain white stuff but this one's got a herringbone threading.

I don't have the practice of gift giving / exchange. But this is the season when I receive corporate gifts from vendors.
The best Xmas gift I could receive are the PERFECT organisers:- a 1-day-a-page organiser (for work)
a pocket 1-week-a-page organiser (for personal use)
Yep, I'm anal about my diaries. It's so fustrating when you receive all sorts of calenders and organisers yet none are suitable for use. -
I just had an arguement with an old friend about gift exchange. I am noy against gift exchange but felt that old friends are beyond gifts.
Anyway, now I don't know what to get for them. Anyone got any ideas?
I don't know what I will be getting. I don't care actually. It's the thought that matters. You give me chocolate I also happy at least it's not going to collect dust.

Fun? In one ex-co of mine, the gift exchange was taken to rather extreme proportions, that out of obligation, I had to spend $150-$200 on gifts, plus time and effort to shop for them, wrap them...every year. And I don't even celebrate christmas on a personal level. Phew! Glad there no more of that now.Originally posted by choco B:THEM?? LOL

Hahah there goes the bonus. That's alot of money for gifts for acquaintences LOL
The way I see it, it's not like I spend alot on friends during the year anyway, sometimes you remember birthdays, most times you don't :p
But $200 is alot. I think the sane way to do exchanges is to buy ONE gift, get them all pooled and just do ONE exchange.Originally posted by Wanda:Fun? Biangz!! What a horror! $150-200 is waaaaay too much!
Last year, my ward organised a gift exchange thing where everyone writes their names, folds up the paper, and throws it into a bottle and we pick ONE from there, then go and buy a gift for that person whose name we've picked. The budget was only min. $10 each gift, which I felt was a decent amount.
(Although there were cheapskates who gave gifts less than $10!

I bought a Christmas gift for SL because I chanced across something that I just knew she'd love and I had to grab it before it was out-of-stock!
I haven't officially started Christmas gift-shopping yet but I think this year, I'll whittle down my list to ... hmm... two or three others? Maybe, 10 or so? Dunno, haven't seriously sat down to play Santa and create a gift list yet! I think I might just have to gonna find out who's naughty or nice soon!

so far I got a xmas tigger gift sock (for hanging and putting ur gift inside).. very cute one.. from AUS. Bought for a tigger fan lor.
next, a swarovski crystal (cross pendant) and will go and get customized puzzle (portrait) and DIY something lor..
for gift exchange.. i haven got anything yet. -
I saw a couple of those cushions with the really soft, squishy tiny li'l balls inside... whatchamacallit? ... and now, they come with really lovely, vibrant prints on them too!
They cost over $10 each but they're soooo pretty!! It would be great to own a few, and just throw them about the house!
