Hey, did you know that the female cast in Ally McBeal faced tremendous pressure to stay slim because their producer warned them that he likes the ladies slim and if they put on weight, they might be dismissed?
No wonder they all whittled down to bags of bones! At one stage, Calista Flockhart and Portia de Rossi were horrendously skinny! 
I really liked John Cage and Richard Fish though. Yes, I know about the weight issues, and it sured showed during some of the episodes.
Did you know there was one episode she was dating an older guy and wanted to dump him after she met this very good looking young man (played by Michael Vartan). Turns out the young man is the older guy's son! Boy was it awkward when they found out and dumped her together! -

I read about the weight loss part in an interview with the actress that played Billy's wife , Geogia. Part of the reason she said she left the show was the pressure of having to stay slim.

I think, the lure of good shopping here might just motivate me to fly back home pretty frequently! When I'm back, I'll probably end up sending boxes of stuff back to Melbourne!
