Grouching about screamers at the beach

... I was having a nice picnic dinner with the hubby
somewhere near the bedok jetty earlier today...
when I heard loud screaming from girls.. from the direction of the jetty
the girls just kept on screaming VERY VERY LOUD
aka some bad taiwanese/korean movie
except in the movie, usually the girls/guys screaming were at rather deserted beaches/mountains/cliffs/hills and not
at a crowded jetty with old fishermen
and they screamed like a FEW TIMES
i was too far away (and yes, still heard them)
and damn feel like poking my fork up their.. nostrils and giving
them a REAL reason to scream
I've met people like this.. and I don't get it
we climb up a nice beautiful mountain
it's early in the morning, the sun is rising
the morning chill in the air
its nice and serene and peaceful and NATURAL
and some girl decides she wants to act taiwanese/korean star
and starts screaming
thinking it looks really romantic and liberally carthartic
and giving everyone else a headache.
bah. -

Oh wait, there wasn't just one girl but a group, right?
Well, it can be quite cathartic and fun to scream your lungs out although I've never tried.
But hmm... I wouldn't like it either if I was enjoying the calm, the serenity, the quiet and then suddenly, a scream cuts through the air like some supersonic jet slicing through the sky!

but even when I was hormonally charged and angsty I was never such a sucker for attracting attention lar.

Seriously though, when I'm surrounded by nature, and the moment's pretty private, I just wanna throw my arms out, turn around and around, and have a huuuuuuge silly Cheshire-cat grin on my face, giggling at the same time, out of sheer bliss!

I mean, I can be pretty loud at times too, I am not the most demure introvert around.
But i think ... u know when its just a reaction to environment.. and when its... artifice.. and it freaks me out when girls try too hard to act cute. Or guys for that matter.
I blame all those taiwanese karaoke mtvs - u notice they ALWAYS feature girls screaming at places with their bf looking indulgently on, or screaming with them. Either that or they are busy insulting their bfs "zhu tou" or some other equivalent insult.. and everyone goes.. ooh so cuteeeeee...
