But we have had a lot of "fake" qualifications and the medical profession hwere is trying to crack down on them.
Recently we are trying to request the extradition (however that is spelt lol) of a doctor who has fled to the us after lots of "deaths" under his care and that his qualifications were not up to scratch. This has not been a once of case.
So the medical profession is probably trying to be careful. And you know that Australia doesnt always recognise the qualifications of outside countries... especially asian ones.
The thing is, they wanted the phrase, 'full-time employment' added in the letter from my Employer certifying my employment.
For donkey years, for hundreds of Singaporean applicants, they've never rejected a letter because that phrase was missing. And it's a template used by HR and they've never had to add that phrase in previously.
Now, suddenly, they've decided that they want to see that phrase to prove my full-time employment.
That, plus they wanted verification that had already been sent to them in Nov and was sitting on their desks.
They had the cheek to tell me, ''Oh, sorry! Didn't know we had received it already!'' 
They're also asking for documentation that had already been sent to them.
I think our Aussie counterparts just aren't as fast and efficient and I probably have to get used to that! 
So, all this delay is needless. -

Many of them thinks people are lazy and trying to beat the system and will go out of their way to prevent them exploiting the system.
That's why my American friend was kidding to me about the retired nurses who go to his pharmacy to have their meds dispensed are a few of the nastiest, grouchiest and most cynical peeps he's served! -

I have thought about it long and hard - if I had done wrong to dissuade you from joining the profession.
But, knowing your online persona, I gather that you love travelling and can be quite spontaneous with your plans at times and in nursing, the rigid schedules and rostering would hinder your plans.
Plus, I cannot bear the thought of letting anyone I know be subject to the treatment I've had to suffer.
I asked a few of my colleagues if I had done wrong in dissuading you. They said, ''No! Tell her to please keep her corporate job!'' -
Nah...can't survive in that old wayang bureacracy. I wanted to go into nursing as a stepping stone for other purposes which I would have like to fulfill. Those Golden Phnoenix New Crop, the 50kg bag shows it is No 7, No 2 is Old crop, for rice cooking... The thread that seals the bag is also green unlike the red and white thread
As for 10kg bags, they are usually old crop... Get the ones that have printed "See Hoy Chan (1988 ) Limited", those are better grade type -

By the way, is there more than one brand of 'golden pheonix'? I find there seems to be 2 types of golden pheonix....the one i bot has See Hoy Chan...must be the wholesaler-importer, I guess. -
SBS is really quite screwed up. taking the horribly crammed buses to and fro daily can be a pretty dehumanising experience. Especially when you're all the way at the back and fighting a human horde to get to the exit to alight and the fucking bus driver starts driving off before you do.
