As for 50kg old crop bags, there are roughly 4 importers incl See Hoy Chan importing Golden Phoenix from Thailand
New Crop so far only See Hoy Chan and Tai Seng Leong imports -

I would never ever buy the NTUC housebrand for as long as I can help it. I tried it once...dunno what I bought, but the quality was so bad, and I'd rather pay 20cts more for non-NTUC brands.

It's small and cute and fits into a tupperware , guarantee no weevils. -

NTUC is equal to poorer quality goods... Partly as they demand 30% margin from suppliers when provision shop only earn 2-10% margin... Somemore NTUC demand 120 days credit term, provision shop? COD that is 14 days -

You can be given a rude shock as to how many 50kg bags rice we import monthly... It is up to abt 2000 bags!
This is not incl the 1kg, 2.5kg, 5kg or 10kg or 25kg bags or other rice like Cargo Rice or Aussie rice -
U must be eating very little rice. 1 kg pack is not so economical. Yeah consumption is very small and slow . Once, a 5kg bag of rice was kept so long it got badly infested. I'd probably upgrade go to 2.5 kg only.
