What kinda vacation locations do you go for?

Hmm... ''vacation location''... it rhymes!
What I'm curious about is, do you go for vacation destinations that are :
- in a hilly / mountainous area;
- by the sea / lake / other bodies of water;
- resort places; or
- bustling cities where the food and shopping are good.
Which are your preferred type of holidays?

I think for me, I love holidays by the beach or in resort places.
Of course, if these locations are near good shopping and food areas, all the better!

a good mix of chio chio babes, sea + sand + spa + resort + shopping + great food!

I prefer places of interest or old cities.
Try visiting the ice hotel in kiruna which is in sweden.
Old cities like Rome, Milan, Venice... -

Ulu beach resorts. The further away from the city/people/noise the better.

I love mountainous places....it's so peaceful and quiet up there, and hardly got ppl.
It's just you, the wind and the occasional birds. -

If it were me deciding I'd choose a place where I can gain new experiences, or just relax. But so far, I've only been on school trips or vacations with my family or relatives.

I love to go to turkey for its culture, australia for its wilderness, thailand for its resort.
I am tied with too much choice -
i'm not really a fan of water.
parks, greenery, old buildings... i need to go to Europe. -
For now... a resort getaway. Sleep, eat, laze ard by the beach all day..

Before I went to Bali, I'd have said I prefer vacations where I can shop and eat. After visiting Bali, I prefer resort type holidays... by the beach!!

think old charming towns.... dun like big cities.... suffocating for me.... mountains, lakes, snow, hills, trees, sea, beach .... loved them.... but i still wonder if i would b able to spend long time in such places....

my vacation in 1 1/2 years time will be spent in pulau tekong..
